A real-world challenge game. Every Monday and Friday a new quest drops for every city in the world. Complete it, take your proof photo in the app, and earn XP, badges and a place on the leaderboard.

At 9 AM your local time. The Monday Drop runs until Sunday night. The Friday Drop is a weekend sprint that also ends Sunday night.

Yes. Global quests use places that exist almost everywhere, like parks, cafés, markets and libraries. Local quests from verified businesses appear only in their city.

A quick 5-minute challenge that drops every day at 9 AM local time and closes at midnight. It's worth 25 XP, and doing it on consecutive days builds your daily streak.

Check in at any public spot near you (a café, park, mural or market) from the Check in page. The first 3 check-ins each day at spots in your city's Places directory earn 10 XP. New spots join the directory, and start earning XP, once three different players have checked in there. Homes and private addresses are never allowed.

Never. Every quest can be done alone, and every quest is optional.

Most quests include a bad-weather backup you can do instead.

Anyone 18 or older.

Each quest is worth XP based on difficulty: easy 100, medium 150, hard 300. The first 25 verified finishers of a drop in each city get +50 bonus XP.

Complete at least one quest in a week (Monday to Sunday, local time) to keep your streak going. Miss a full week and it resets.

Automatically. The moment you qualify, the badge appears in your passport. Some are for totals, some for streaks, speed, categories or questing in new cities.

Your rank: Wanderer, Explorer (500 XP), Pathfinder (1,500), Local Legend (4,000) and City Oracle (10,000).

By where you complete quests. Your home city is set by your first quest and switches after 3 quests in a new city within 30 days. It can change at most once every 30 days. XP always counts for the city you were in.

Weekly boards reset Monday 00:00 UTC. Seasons last 8 weeks. All-time never resets.

To keep it fair. Proof has to be taken live in the app during the quest.

To find your city, open the right quests for your timezone, and confirm you did the quest. We store only your city and a point rounded to about 100 meters, never your exact position.

Something looked unusual, like weak GPS signal. It gets a quick review, and XP is added once it's approved.

You can usually retake it while the quest is open. If you think it's a mistake, email thequestdrop.help@gmail.com.

Apply on the Quest Leaders page. Once verified, you can submit local quests. Each one is safety-reviewed and then scheduled automatically.
